How we enhanced the effectiveness of a mining gas transfer application
The mining industry requires blower systems for different
purposes and requirements. Finding the right blower systems helps in
simplifying the process and enhancing efficiency.

mining projects.
Installing PD Plus Blower for SO2 transfer
We were tasked with providing the most suitable and
efficient gas transfer system for a mixture containing 10% Dry SO2 and 90% air
for an organization in the mining industry.We used our two-stage PD Plus blower system for this
purpose. The volume of the system is 5000 nm3/hr with an inlet pressure of 1
bar absolute to discharge pressure of 2 bar absolute.
We had chosen the blower system after considerable care and
research. The volume of the system keeps the process smooth without any chances
of overload. In the first stage, we have offered a 7025 blower with 240
hp motor. It is followed by a 7017 blower with 180 hp motor in the second
stage.
Complete Automation:
The entire blower system is completely automated, helping
the project run smoothly and free from any gas transfer hassles.The total automation simplifies management and helps the
operators to handle the process with far more efficiency. The interlocks and
the VFD for both motors are also automated and for ease of operation, the
system has an HMI control panel. (HMI:
Human Machine Interface) Any leakage can increase the risk of hazard and waste of
resources, while also reducing the efficiency of the system. Therefore the
entire blower system has a quality sealing arrangement for optimum performance. It is one of the many projects our team has handled in the
past few years. We helped identify, install and use the PD plus blower system
for the mining operation, located in Central Africa, and enhanced their
efficiency while reducing the losses.
